Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Bronner’s uncle was a dentist, and during one fated trip to his dental office, a young Dr. Bronner was told that he would need a shot (anesthetic) so his tooth could be fixed. Dr. Bronner immediately ran and made it all the way to the front door before he was met by his dad who picked him up and placed him back in the dental chair. He handed Dr. Bronner a mirror and said, “Hold this while uncle Abe fixes your tooth…don’t you want to see how he does it?” Dr. Bronner took the mirror and proceeded to critique his uncle’s dentistry indefinitely. From there, he says that his path was set!
